Writer John Gump does an excellent job framing this within a context of not just the music industry, but humanity as a whole. He’s got my interest and I am currently glued to his blog. It’s important above all else to remember that what you release as a musician should be a contribution of some sort to the world, whether or not it becomes profitable.
