From the Artist:
“The songs on “Shock Therapy” capture the raw emotions I went through during the apocalyptic NYC lockdown and the vision of healing and togetherness in times of confusion and despair.”
“In the center of “Shock Therapy” stands the dream – be it in the lyrics of “Add Clarity” or in the channeling of the song “Whole”. I lead two lives: one when I am awake and one when I am sleeping. They are equally important to me, both personally and professionally.” “
“Shock Therapy” is a dark electronic beauty that was realized through the power of international and interdisciplinary collaboration. I am humbled and honored that so many amazing artists participated in this audio visual release.”

Artist Biography:
She’s Excited! is the solo Indie Electronic Pop project of Brooklyn-based producer and powerhouse performer Anne Wichmann. With an appetite for intelligent and genre-bending music of icons like David Bowie and Björk as well as grooving Future Pop and Dark Electronica of artists like Billie Eilish, she listens to music defined by limitless imagination rather than genre. This bleeds into her versatile style of energetic and dark yet sparkling Electronica that she merges with empowering and uplifting words. Her lyrics address current political and social topics on the one hand and–with the background of being an accomplished Yoga teacher– the journey within on the other. Deep and difficult situations are portrayed in a positive and motivating light without trying to dispel the darkness that is part of every life. Her work is about empowerment and making space for the union of opposites so that both sadness and beauty can unfold.
She’s Excited! is a solo project, yet Anne collaborates with singers, musicians, producers and artists at home and all over the globe. In 2019 she explored movie scores on “Star Wars: Dark Side EP” by reimagining iconic Star Wars themes in a dark electronic manner with co-producer Auralnauts. She was invited to perform at Satellite Art Show Miami 2019. In early 2020 she started to create and perform music in Virtual Reality (Sound Stage VR & EXA), and in May she released her third EP “My Own Crazy”.
Three months later she co-founded XRE (Extended Reality Ensemble), a collective of international interdisciplinary artists pioneering new bright meaningful works with a focus on technology to raise social awareness and solve real world problems.
