Our latest feature is with alternative rock/progressive band Paradox Please, who add more patience, intrigue and intelligence to their songwriting than the average rock band. Welcome to Independent Music Promotions, guys. I enjoyed your mix of influences. Heavy but melodic and interesting at the same time. Do you have any new releases available?

Our first EP titled “Project 139” was released on 3/3/2012 and is available on iTunes, Amazon, and all those places.

I liked how your vocals were thought-out, intellectual, and melodic. It reminded me of the excellent band Chore, which is a compliment! What inspired you to go against the grain by not sticking to the genre’s expectations?

One of our biggest influences is Muse. We love their live show, different sound, and emotional involvement. We’re always trying to experiment with our sound. Every song that we make we try to push the envelope more. We want to create a unique sound that everyone can connect with.

What have you found works well for you as far as promotion goes?

Online promotion through social media works best such as facebook and youtube. We also try to get our music on as much radio as possible. We have a lot of luck with people in Europe or South America. They seem to really like our music.

Who in music do you most admire most and why?

We mostly come to terms on Muse as i stated before, but we have a wide variety of influences in music. Such as Jimi Hendrix, Tom Morello, Jack White, Mark Stoermer, and even Misha Mansoor. Basically we look for a unique sound.

Do you have any advice for aspiring independent musicians who may feel disillusioned or discouraged at times?

More than you can imagine. We have been through so many lineup changes, ups and downs, thoughts of quitting, and all of that. You just have to keep at it. Try new things, experiment and find what fits. You’ll know when it comes together just right that your in the right spot.

How can music fans keep tabs on Paradox Please?

The best way is through our Facebook or Twitter. We also have a website www.paradoxplease.com, and of course check out some of our youtube videos!
