Overall Rating: 5/5
Deep from the depths of the Kragujevac (the 4th largest city in Serbia) arises the artist known as IVeza and The Elements. This is one artists that’s making quite a name for himself regionally and internationally with his amazing music and songwriting/Production virtuoso. Oh and by the way his REVERBNATION World Wide Ranking when I wrote this was Number 2. Genera: Ambient Dance, Electronic-House-DJ.
So what does an artist like The Black Dog, Attrition or Aphex Twin have that IVEZA and the Elements don’t? Not much if you ask me save the multi million dollar promotional machines and major record label support. In this overly saturated genera/market a plethora of artists coming out of the woodwork, armed with nothing more than a PC, Microphone, and a pirated copy of Frooty Loops programming they manage to push their music out to the masses and much of it do I to do about nothing. Much of it is to say the least substandard, trivial and very forgetful. IVEZA and The Elements breaks the mold with a powerhouse sound in the vein of Trippty, Electronic, House music that is to say the laset amazing and mind numbing in it’s delivery. It’s also highly unpredictable – in a good way. Musical overtones that will remind you of acts like Proem, Mum, and Boards of Canada, Pendulum, Skrillex, P!nk. But on the other end of the sonic spectrum I can even hear influences like Pet Shop Boys, The Prodigy and Alpha Wave Movement. Musical styles presented: Ambient, Atmospheric, Techno, Electronica with brief splashes of New Age Electronic and Meditative Mood Music. All in all a well rounded CD that has much to offer the listener.
Top tracks: Ready to Leave, Without You, Summer, Salvation, Always Broken, Title Track
IVEZA and the Elements stand out from other Indie-Composers within this saturated market. His answer to mundane sonic ambience that’s been filling the airwaves is to push all your senses into overdrive and deliver something unique with a powerful signature sound to call his own. The strong suit of “My Brother” is the deep seeded creativity, solid writing and production instincts, and extremely thought provoking melodies.

Final Word: If there was one word I would use to describe IVEZA and The Elements it would be powerful. This latest release “My Brother” will simply stimulate your body, mind and soul. In close IVEZA deliver the goods – in so many different and unique ways and proves The Europeans dominate this amazing genera once again.
