Musicians Pat Irwin and J. Walter Hawkes have made careers as session players and score composers. Notably, Irwin was a touring member of the B-52s and scored TV’s Spongebob Squarepants and Rocko’s Modern Life. Hawkes is a 4-time Emmy winner and composed music for Blue’s Clues. Next month they will release their debut collaborative album, Wide Open Sky, off Clandestine. Their instruments combine for an ambient free-jazz experience, both numbing and awakening.

For the run-up to the Wide Open Sky‘s November 15th release, Pat Irwin & J. Walter Hawkes have released “In Another Time” as the first single. The video is a twirling panoramic scene of the great New York City skyline. “In Another Time” tracks through borough city streets of Long Island City where the two musicians live. Irwin, leaning against brick walls, plays guitar while Hawkes blows his horn from avenue to boulevard.
