New York-based Alternative Indie Rock Trio Okami Three sound united on their dream-like, psychedelic earworm of a single “Blue”, out now on streaming platforms. Self-described as ‘A contemporary culture clash combined with multitudes of melded musical methods’, Okami Three‘s sound is layered, impassioned and wholly unique. Marked by lush guitars, atypical vocal melodies, and relatable lyrics about loss, “Blue” is both melancholic and otherworldly.
From the Artist: Pinning our sound down to a specific genre or style has always been difficult for us. Our music is derived from the moods, sentiments, and emotions that originate from day to day life experience.
Our latest release “Blue” is about losing someone, which we’ve all experienced in some form or another at some time. We like to think it reflects a bit of the relativity between us all.
Artist Biography:
Formed in January 2021, Okami Three is an indie rock trio from New York City. The bands style diversely includes elements of alternative rock, electro-acoustic, post-grunge, power-pop, and psychedelic rock. Their songs are performed with organic instrumentation that consist of guitar driven melodies and progressions, often supported by piano or organ. The bands penchant for vocal harmonies is artfully woven into their sound creating a unique quality to their material. Their sixth and most current release Blue can be heard on all major music platforms as well as iHeart and Jango radio.
