Pop punkers Amuse aim to fill the hole that emerged when veterans Blink 182 left the music scene (They have, of course, since returned), and fans of the mainstream branches of punk rock should find their new album “Love Songs For Your Dad” relentlessly catchy and upbeat. “General Hospital” is pop punk at it’s most accomplished – dreamy, slightly rebellious, and more than suitable to skateboard around and annoy pedestrians to.
“It’s all good. We’re having fun.” – from “It’s All Good”
This seems to be the band’s motto, and who am I to fault them for it? Though genre-specific, “Love Songs For Your Dad” is a cheeky and enjoyable listen. Recommended for fans of Gob, Blink 182 and Sum 41.
